Q

What is the secret to success and how do you motivate yourself to achieve your goals.

A

I would say my secret is something my mom taught me. She always said this silly saying, “They can’t take away your birthday” it means no matter what happens, if you embarrass yourself if you were unprepared, you still are going to be you. Your life will move. With that mindset, I try things I thought were out of my reach. I kept moving forward.

Q

What is your makeup secret?

A

The secret would be that the makeup routine starts with your skincare. You want clear skin, invest in a good moisturizer with SPF. You are never too young to start that.

Q

If you could stay any age forever what age would you choose and why?

A

I would choose not to stay at one age. I want to fully experience life and to do that we need to age. Aging seems scary but it is a beautiful thing that only the lucky get to experience.

Q

What is something you have done that you are not proud of?

A

I still think about this all the time, I was in high school and I saw a girl wearing a cute outfit with heels. I stopped to tell her I liked her shoes and then immeadtily turned around and said not. When I look back, I was just jealous that I did not have the confidence to wear something like that. I make it a point to uplift women everyday instead of tearing them down because of my own insecurities.

17
Q

What do you look for in a friend?

A
18
Q

Do you consider yourself a feminist?

A

Yes, I support women choosing the life they want to live. Whether that being a stay-at-home mom taking care of her family or the CEO who does not want to be married or have children.

19
Q

Other than your family who is your biggest supporter?

A

My friend from high school, Geoffrey. Even before I knew it he knew I was going to do something great. He never thought anything was too far-fetched or out of my reach.

20
Q

If you could invite any three people to dinner who would it be?

A

It would be my mom, dad, and brother. They live in Arizona and haven’t seen them all in one place in over a year. I would give anything to have a family dinner again.

21
Q

What is your biggest dream?

A
22
Q

How are you different from other competitors?

A
23
Q

Why are you here?

A

Well, Initially I applied to show the middle school kids that I mentor that they can work and accomplish hard things. Now that I am here today, I am proving it to not only them, but myself too.

24
Q

Why do you want to win this title?

A

I want to win for two reasons, 1. I want to be a role model to others that you can work towards goals no matter what point in your life you are at. and 2. I want to use my title to expand my platform of POTS awareness, giving patients an easier way of diagnosis and recovering than the one my brother and I had.

25
Q

Tell me about yourself

A
26
Q

What would you do if you won this pageant?

A

Well, win or lose, the first thing I am going to do is celebrate getting through pageant week with a peanut butter Sunday. If I do win the following thing I would do is start reaching out and making a calendered list of all the appearances and partnerships I would like to make

27
Q

What is your greatest weakness

A

Tik Tok, before the pandemic I was never on my phone that much but now I get sucked in for hours on that app.

28
Q

What qualities should a title holder have.

A

She should be confident in her own skin since she will not be able to please everyone. She should be easy to talk to because she will be representing not only herself but the state of Maryland so she will need to be a part of her community. And finally, she should have a good moral compass with the ability to have humility, since no one knows everything about everything.

29
Q

Who is your role model?

A
30
Q

What are you most thankful for?

A

The fact that I can start new each and every morning

31
Q

If you could change one thing about you what would it be?

A

Physically: My pale skins inability to get tan in the summer, if I don’t wear a lot of sunscreens I turn into a tomato

Non-Physical: I would be one of those morning people that go out for a jog before work. I do not think that will ever be me though and I am at peace with it.

32
Q

Tell me something to remember you?

A

Every year I do something off my bucket list. I started this with my high school friends and just kept the tradition going. My favorite had to be spontaneously skydiving for my 20th.

33
Q

Tell me the story of your most embarrassing moment

A

I was never good at online dating apps. I meet up with someone, as they went in for a hug, I thought it would be appropriate to go in for a handshake. I was so embarrassed that I twirled around so he wouldn’t see my face and hit my head on a pole. Needless to say, there was no second date.

34
Q

What is your hobby or something you do for fun.

A

My hobby is photography and I like to road trips to small towns and find their hidden gem. Once I do I snap a photo to keep the memory.

35
Q

How do you create Goals for yourself

A

The same way I teach the kids I mentor. First, you envision what you want. I like to do this with a vision board. It could be the biggest dream you got or something you would like to accomplish within the next month. Then you work your way down in creating smaller goals until you reach ones you can accomplish today. Finally, you set to create a calendar of when you would like to reach a certain mark.
