Q

Problem with designing only for tasks / func. Req.

A

Does not tell you why or end goal user is trying to achieve
(Ex. Completing a form is a task but no user has the goal of putting text inside a box. What is their goal and expected result? Is the form even necessary?)

Q

Limitations of qualitative research

A
  • Only tells you what not why
  • numbers/stats can just as easily be biased as qualitative interpretation.
  • often reduces scope & variables to isolate effects. This might overlook important nuances.
