What is abortion?
The deliberate removal of a foetus from the womb, to end a pregnancy.
What are 5 reasons that might make a woman want an abortion?
If her life is in danger, if her family would suffer, of her mental or physical health would be affected, if there’s a substantial risk of the baby being born physically or mentally disabled and if it’s an ectopic pregnancy.
What is an ectopic pregnancy?
When a fertilised egg implants itself outside the womb, usually in one of the fallopian tubes. This is classified as a miscarriage and your health might be at risk if the pregnancy continues (it is not uncommon, affecting 1 in 80 pregnancies).

When do you think life begins?
I think life begins at 12 weeks because the brain is fully developed and the baby has all its organs and it’s fully formed (so it feels more real).
