What is Sunni?
One of the major branches of Islam. (The branch that consists of the majority of that religion’s adherents)
What is Shia?
(a monotheistic faith system). Shia Muslims’ core difference from Sunnis is their belief that only Prophet Muhammad’s direct descendants can be leaders of the Islamic faith.
What is Sufism?
Sufism may be best described as Islamic mysticism or asceticism, which through belief and practice helps Muslims attain nearness to Allah by way of direct personal experience of God.Dec
What is the story of Ibrahim in Islam?
Ibrahim has a son named Ishamel, Allah instructs Ibrahim to sacrifice Ishamel to show love and devotion to him. They then both willingly say that they should follow Allah’s words. Although they did agree, Allah interfered and said that they wouldn’t do it and instead sacrificed a lamb or sheep. This was to prove the trust that Ibrahim and Ishmael had in Allah and the trust Allah had in them.
How did we get here? How did the world begin?
The Quran states that Allah created the universe over 6 days. He created the first humans, Adam and Eve. Put them in a heavenly paradise. A jinn named Iblis tempted them to eat the forbidden fruit. They were all punished and sent to Earth
Is there a God?
God in Islam is known as Allah. Allah is known as the only God and the supreme god of the universe.
Where does evil come from?
Evil originates from the refusal of Satan) to bow down to Adam when ordered to by Allah.
What happens when you die?
The eternal soul separates from the body. Soul awaits final judgment, awarded with paradise or punishment. At the end of time, the deceased faithful and all jinn will be resurrected before the destruction of the world. Allah will judge everyone
