Gentle rotary motion, sliding fingers and skin together clockwise around entire abdomen.
How much do you depress skin with superficial palpation?

Muscle gaurding

Deep palpation is the same as superficial except how much do you depress the skin with deep?
5-8 cm
When palpating the liver it should be what?
Firm and palpable

What is rebound tenderness?
Choose quadrant away from painful one. Push hand down perpendicular into abdomen. Push down slowly and deep and quickly lift to cause irritation in nearby quadrant.
What is the kidney punch test?
Dr place hand over 12 rib and thumps contact hand with other fist. Should have no pain. Repeat on opposite side.`
