A

As much diaphragm shown as possible
- Mid pubic symphysis included
- Psoas muscle seen, if habitus allows
- Nil rotation (pelvis symmetry)
- Wide window width
- Markers to indicate side and position

A

mAs: 30 mAs (estimate) or centre-cell AEC.
F.F.D.: 100cm.
Grid: Yes.
Instruct: “Breathe out, and hold it out.”
Breathing: Suspended expiration
