• check airways for masses,obstruction,foreign bodies if found remove it
  *insert supra glottis tube
  *insert oxygen mask (10-15 litters)
  *pulse oximetry (oxygen saturation)
• lastly check the position of the trachea without deviation

*observe the bare chest,check for respiratory failure
* count the number of breaths (check 20 breath sounds)
* palpation of patient’s chest
* perform comparative percussion
*lastly perform Auscultation of the lungs

*1st Examine the limbs for cyanosis or pallor
*check or feel the temperature of the limbs
* determine capillary pulse( capillary filling time should be less than 2 secs)
*Assess symmetry of the pulse,it’s pulse and frequency
*check patients central pulse(carotid pulse)
*measure blood pressure
*perform auscultation of the heart
*perform the bedside ecg attach the electrodes
* insertion of intravenous catheter start infusion therapy 500ml
*To access the effectiveness of the infusion therapy check the blood pressure Atleast after 5 mins you should see the blood pressure above 100 systolic blood pressure

*Access pupil reaction on both sides
*Access muscle tone on both hands and legs
*sensitivity and pain in skin
* check blood glucose level

*undress the patient completely and examine
*palpate abdomen
*turn the patients back for abnormalities
*rectal examination using finger
*look for any scars or infection
*measure body temperature
* warm all solutions infused into the patient
*cover the patient in warm blanket
