Q

CHF

A

Congestive heart failure

a serious condition that occurs when the heart is unable to pump enough blood to the body. This can be due to a number of factors, including a weak heart muscle or a structural problem that prevents the heart from pumping efficiently.

In acute care the patient will typically have problems with edema. The doctors will try and keep the fluids off of them and thats why they will be put on a cardiac diet that doesn’t involve sodium
