When should you screen for abdominal aortic aneurysms?
Men ages 64-75 who have smoked
*via ultrasound
When should you screen for breast cancer mammography?
Women aged 50, then every 2 years until 75
When should you screen for cervical cancer?
Begin pap smear at age 21 then every 3 years until 65
When should you screen for colorectal cancer?
Begin at age 50 and go until 70
*Not recommended for 76-85
When should you screen for diabetes?
Adults between ages 40-70 whom are overweight
When should you screen for fall prevention in adults?
Adults age 65 and older living in community-dwellings
*advise exercise/PT and Vitamin D supplementation
When should you screen for HIV infection?
Adults age 15-65 and all pregnant women
When should you screen for lipid disorders?
Treat all adults age 40-75 with low dose statin (and no Sx’s) if calculated 10-year CVD risk is > 10%
When should you screen for obesity?
All adults and refer adults with BMI > 30 for behavioral interventions
When should you screen for Osteoporosis?
Women –> age 65 and older and younger women with increased fracture risk
Men –> no evidence to suggest screening
When should you screen for prostate cancer?
Recommend AGAINST routine PSA screening for prostate cancer
