Q

It´s not that I make little money, but I have a lot of expenses.

A

No es que gane poco dinero, sino que tengo muchos gastos.

not sure why tengo isn´t subjunctive, because the first verb after que is subj and it is becauseit is a negation of an object, tengo doesn´t need to be in subj because it is an afirmation
which verb gets the subjunctive usually? It depends

no es plus verbo is a negation of something gane is because 2 subjects, (It, I) but why doesn’t sino que trigger subjunctive? it usually doesn´t
