A

Refer to AOM 2.20.30

42
Q

Flaps Speeds (see placard if not displayed)

A

VFE (barber pole) and VFE Next (=) are displayed on PFD based on flap lever position. VLS and overspeed warning displayed are based on FAC computer ady data (ie actual position of flaps slats)

VFE - max speed for each flap configuration (see PFD)
VFE Next - “=” - max speed for the next (further extended flap position)
F - min speed for flaps retraction on T/O (CONF 3)
- in approach used as a target speed (CONF 2, CONF 3)
S - min speed for slats retraction on T/O (CONF 1+F)
- in approach used as a target speed (CONF 1)

43

46
Q

ACPT App shows …

A

Not Dpx RLD (max man breaking dist X 1.67, if not dry +15%)

Factored Landing Distance (FLD) - 7 sec flare and +15% operational factor. If abnormality then 15% may be replaced by a higher factor (ie 25%).

47
Q

MAX Thrust with Park Brake ON

A

75% (70% 321)

Exercise caution when taxiing >40% should not be required.

2 - S2, F2
3 - S2, F3
Full - S3, FF

Airborne - ODD selection only one moves (Flaps or Slats)
- EVEN selection both move

49
Q

AUTOBRAKE reccommendations

A
Use is preferable
MED
- short (<7000') or
- contaminated or
- low vis (<= 1200 RVR)

LOW
- long runway but not in low vis

50
Q

CAPT IRS GS Check

A

> 900 (321 >800)

Notify Station Handlers when >500

52
Q

CBs - Green vs Black

A

Green - monitored by FWC, if popped will cause ECAM

Black - Feed components that are monitored by FWC, if popped the component will cause ECAM

53
Q

Blue Hyd

Blue Hyd - is able to activate all types of flt control surfaces … RAT will add pressure to blue system.

54
Q

Flt Ctrl Computers

A

normally -
ELAC - pitch and roll (SEC - backup)

320 - limited to 1/2 with AP on
319/321 - can use full with AP on

319/320 (321) - retract brakes before Flaps Full (3) to avoid unexpected pitch down when automatic retraction occurs.

When speed brakes deployed Flaps extension beyond 1 may induce slight temp roll moment.

57
Q

Non-Precision Approaches with OEI

A

OEI RNAV(GPS) - must be hand flown.

OEI VOR or NDB - hand flown OK but to use AP must be flown selected/selected.

OEI LOC - coupled selected - AP OK

61
Q

Run-up Requirements

A

If icing conditions exceed 30 minutes:
70% N1 min for approx 30s (30min interval and prior to higher thrust operation).

In FZRA, FZDZ, FZFG or +SN - additional ice shedding shall be conducted at intervals not to exceed 10 minutes (70% N1 no dwell time) unless surface conditions and operations do not permit in which case thrust settings shall be as high as practical.

Advise ATC if a run-up in position is required.
