Activism
= participative actively in a protest or social movement - involves on-site involvement, direct action, take risks for a cause.
Activists engaged in organizing, mobilizing, and advocating for social or political change. (more high risk)
Slacktivism
more passive and superficial form of activism = limited to online activities, such as liking, sharing, or signing online petitions.
= low-effort and lacking real impact to the cause
= provides sense of participation and social awareness for individuals => without actually engaging in meaningful actions to bring about change. (low-risk)
connective action
engaging in collective action through/with the help of social media/internet
