24
Q

what is the area below the line equal to on an acceleration-time graph?

A

change in velocity

25
Q

Projectile

A

An object moving through the air under the influence of only one force- gravity. Its trajectory will be a parabola

26
Q

Reasons for the trajectory of a projectile being a parabola

A
  • its vertical component of velocity is always changing due to the downwards force of gravity
  • its horizontal component of the velocity is constant (assuming no air resistance)
27
Q

What does the trajectory of a projectile look like with air resistance?

A

-shorter range
- lower max height and reached earlier
- steeper gradient on the way down
