9.2 Inflight FUEL Management Flashcards
Check Actual v Planned consumption at least every 60 mins
Must have all reserves and can land with 30 min @ 1500 AAE in ISA
At any point the remaining fuel must be:
- TRIP remain
- ETP B/U
- CONT (maybe)
- EXTRA (maybe)
At each waypoint also check:
90 min or more flight
- Time
- Fuel (act v pln), FL
- Mach, FF, TAS, GS
- Temp, w/v, ATA
APU burn
May add 240 kg/hr
COMMITMENT To DESTINATION
• EAT or DLY known
Continue if:
EAT/DLY + 30 FXD RES
ie Drop the ALTN
COMMITMENT To DESTINATION
• EAT or DLY UNKNOWN
- 2 Airports; OR
- 1 Apt 2 indep RWYs w/in 2 hours; AND
- land with FXD RES
Landing is “Assured” if can land in forecast WX deteriation
Considering plausible SINGLE Failure air/grd
Eg g/s fail on 1 ILS
When considering Landing weather
Within 2 hours may use actual/trend reports
DIV FUEL
You will be on runway with 0 in tanks.

IAP + 0
Check WX before 451 from departure
If first EA WX below Landing MNM: Must turn back if no alt route.
