Each ion produces a unique line spectrum with different lines present in different places
The intensity of the wavelength indicates the concentration

How do you work out concentration from intensity with a calibration curve?

1. Find intensity on Y-axis
2. Go horixontal till curve is reached
3. Draw straight line down to X-axis & read of concentration
