Q

How was aphordite born in hesiod vs homer

A

In hesiod she is born from ouranos, the sea foam. In Homer she is the daughter of zeus and dione, like a female version of zeus. Having a family in homer’s version is needed (there’s a story where Ares hurts her and she goes to Zeus her father for comfort).
