A

I would speak to the team member on a one to one basis and ask if they’re is anything wrong. I would air my though and see if they understand why and what we are doing. This could be escalated to a line manager for further review.

A

My client and their contractor had conflicts due to the clients demanding nature and overbearing. I informed the client that to maintain relationships, it might be best to let me liaise with the contractor directly to raise concerns that may occur, referencing the pre start meeting and the contract.

A

Unconscious bias (or implicit bias) is often defined as prejudice or unsupported judgments in favour of or against one thing, person, or group as compared to another, in a way that is usually considered unfair. As a result of unconscious biases, certain people benefit and other people are penalised.

What is The Equality Act 2010 ?

A

The Equality Act 2010 legally protects people from discrimination in the workplace and in wider society. It replaced previous anti-discrimination laws with a single Act, making the law easier to understand and strengthening protection in some situations.

  • The first step is to FORMING the team
  • The team then goes through STORMING whereby they overcome obstacles and accept the differences to work on conflicts
  • NORMING stage requires consensus around who the leaders are and each members role.
  • This is followed by PERFORMING is where the work is carried out and issues handled proactively
  • Finally, ADJOURNING is when the team dismantles at the end of a project

A

A report commissioned by the UK Government, to looking into the apparent failings of the construction industry as a whole.

The Latham report led to the creation of the Construction Industry Board (CIB) in 1995 to oversee implementation of its recommendations.

A

The report described the industry as ineffective, adversarial, fragmented and incapable of delivering for its clients.

A

That the Government should become a best practice client. That the NEC suite of contracts be adopted to improve a less adversarial approach. Encouraged Partnering between companies and organisations. Risk should be allocated to the party best able to handle it.

I am a coordinator. I am good at leading and delegating roles and I am good at recognising team members skills. I work well with Monitor-Evaluators who are good at strategizing.

Frederick Herzberg (1959). Two factor motivational theory. Workers are motivated to work harder through motivators, such as;
