- Avoid too many nominalisations
- Adhere to the rules of discourse (end-weight-principle)
- Have a real personal subject
> don’t use the empty subjects there and it - use a verb in second place where possible
> who did what? - Simplify the vocabulary
- Avoid to many prepositional phrases
- Use the active voice where possible
- Include all information & don’t change the meaning!
