A
  • needs to regularly cleaned (bacterial transmission)
  • have a hinged lid which can be tightly closed
  • be large enough for the patient to lie comfortably in lateral recumbency
  • two ports- one for volatile gas and oxygen and one for scavenging waste

A

Fill the chamber with 100% oxygen for 3-5 mins prior to turning on the vaporiser.
