The provisions of declarations of MRP has been simplified by removing illustration and providing for making the mandatory declaration of MRP in Indian currency inclusive of all taxes
Companies will be required to print unit sale price‘ on the packaged commodities
The Ministry has scrapped the Schedule 5) of the rules under which 19 types of commodities were to be
packed in quantities by weight, measure or number in a specified manner. Now the companies can sell the
commodities in any quantity.

President Ram Nath Kovind promulgated two Ordinances to extend the tenure of Directors of probe agencies 1) and 2) up to five years.
The Ordinances are, the 3) Ordinance 2021 and the 4 (Amendment) Ordinance 2021. As per the ordinances, the Chiefs of the top agencies can be given extensions, every year for up to three years after they complete the two-year term.
The ordinances said, no such extension will be granted after the completion of a period of five years in total
