What is the Lymphatic system?
A
A large network of vessels with two functions
- Transport system for APCs and pathogens
- Location for clonal selection

Primary Lymphoid Tissue?
A
- Creation and maturation of B and T cells
Located in bone marrow and thymus

Secondary Lymphoid Tissue
A
- Maintaining mature lymphocytes and initiating adaptive immune response
- Lymph nodes (eg; tonsils)
- Also acts as a ‘filter’ to trap forgein pathogens

Fluid from blood vessels leak into surrounding tissues
