Q

What is the carrying capacity?

A

the maximum capacity of an ecosystem
if a population goes above this, it’ll crash due to lack of resources back down to the carrying capacity

Q

describe the predator prey cycle

A

The population of predators depends on prey
When prey increases, predators have more food so their numbers increase,
this means prey population decreases so there is less food availability so the predator population decreases
Less predation of pry occurs so prey population increases, starting the cycle again
