What are the different parts of the female reproduction system called (label)?
oviduct, ovary, uterus, cervix, vagina

Bladder, glands, penis, sperm duct, urethra, testis, scrotum, foreskin
What is semen?
sperm mixed with special fluids

How long does it take for a foetus to become a fully grown baby?
40 weeks, 9 months. this time is called gestation.
What does the Mother have to know that she is going in to labour?
contractions
What are contractions?
Contractions are when the muscles of the womb squeezes’ and contracts at regular intervals during labour.
What is fake labour?
Fake labour is when a woman gets something called ‘Braxton hicks contraction’ and makes the woman think she is going in to labour.
What is puberty?
Puberty is the stages that get a male or female’s body ready and capable of sexual reproduction.
What are the stages of puberty for boys?
● hair grows under arms, on face and on chest ● pubic hair grows ● shoulders get wider ● body smell increases ● testes start to make sperm cells ● testes and penis get bigger ● voice deepens (‘breaks’)
What are the stages of puberty for girls?
● hair grows under arms ● pubic hair grows ● hips get wider ● body smell increases ● ovaries start to release egg cells ● breasts develop
What are the types of fertilisation?
internal fertilisation, external fertilisation
