Q

Displacement time graph of a ball

A

Use s=ut^2-1/2gt^2
n curve
Immediately ater leaving the throwers hand, the velocity is positive and large so the gradient is positive and large
As the ball rises, its velocity decreases so the gradient is zero
As the ball descends, its velocity becomes increasingly negative, corresponding to increasing speed in a downward direction so the gradient becomes increasingly negative

Q

How does the distance time graph of an object projected upwards differ from the displacement time graph

A

curves and curves again rather than one n curve

This is because after maximum height, it continues to increase in distance travelled so it curves upwards
