What do detail drawrings supply
All the information required to construct every part
Could there be several parts on one drawing
Yes there could be
What is an assembly drawings
A multiple piece item that can be disassembled into its components or units without being destroyed
What do assembly drawings do
Assembly drawings depict the relationship between two or more parts
What are installation drawings
Bring all sub-assemblies together describe exactly where certain parts or assemblies are to be permanently fitted
What aid is there on an installation drawing
List instructions required for installation
What is a revolved section drawing
When the material is cut with the cutting plane and is then rotated 90° and the measurements are projected to the adjacent view
What is a removed section drawing
When the drawing becomes to cluttered the section can be drawn adjacent to the view as a removed section
What is a complete sectional drawing
A drawing that is easier to identify individual parts within a complex assembly
What is a half sectional drawing
A drawing that shows the upper half as the internal construction and the bottom half the outside assembly
What are exploded view drawing
Exploded view to show every part that is in the assembly
What are block diagrams
Used for troubleshooting complex electrical and electronic systems
What are troubleshooting flowcharts
Used for the detection of faulty components
What are logic flow charts
Developed specifically for analysing digitally controlled components and systems
What are schematic drawings
Do not show an exact image they indicate where are objects are located in relation to each other in a system and if applicable the direction of fluid flow
What are electronic schematic diagrams
Diagrams use symbols for each component
What is an orthographic projection
Represents a three dimensional object using two dimensional views of the object
What is first angle
Represents the side of the object that is remote from it in the adjacent view
What is third angle
Each view represents the side of the object that is nearest to it in the adjacent view
How can basic shapes be drawn
Drawn freehand or by use templates
How can repair sketches be drawn
Drawn for repairs or for manufacturing a replacement part
What is an isometric view
Uses a combination of an orthographic projection and tilts the object forward so that portions of all three views can be seen in one view
What is an oblique drawing
Isometric with one object face parallel to the drawing plane
What are perspective drawings
Shows an object as it appears to the observer
