Background of Frank’s Dependency
A

Socialist model

Developed country controlled development of developing countries by setting prices for commodities, interfering in economics and using military aid.

Q
Criticisms of the Dependency theory
A
Some countries have not followed this model and are still underdeveloped e.g. Ethiopia was never colonised. Likewise Singapore WAS and is very developed!
Countries focused on the socialist model (Tanzania) of development are very poor still.
Some rich world influences today (neo-colonial influences) are
positive in the form of aid which is not tied.
