Q

the differences of parallel and series circuit

A

if a part of the circuit is interrupts, the series circuit cannot work. In a parallel circuit, only the pathway that is interrupted will not work, the other pathways will still work. the amount of current is the same in all parts of a series circuit. for parallel it may not be the same. when you add more resistors to a series circuit, you increase the amount of resistance, which will decrease the current if the voltage stays the same. adding more resistors in a parallel decreases the total resistance. the voltage across parallel resistors will always be the same.
