Who shall be responsible for:
- Providing all uniformed personnel with the quarterly required drills, reading assignments and objectives

The Assistant Chief of Training and Safety or his/her designee
Who shall be responsible for:
- Ensuring that the training and education provided by Company Captains meets the objectives set forth by the Training Division
- Conducting periodic written and/or practical evaluations on an individual company or multi-company basis to determine the effectiveness of the training programs
- Meeting annually or as necessary with his/her company officers to monitor the training plan and develop recommendations for future drills
- Ensuring that drills are scheduled and conducted as required
- Monitoring company performance during schools and drills
- Responding to questions from company officers and in-charge personnel concerning schools and drills
- Reviewing and signing off on the FIR 844 in a timely manner
Battalion Chiefs
Who shall be responsible for:
- Coordinating the scheduling of Captain Training Teams
- Maintaining an up-to-date listing of all scheduled Captains Training Teams school and drills on the monthly training calendar
- Assisting Company Captains with securing any special equipment and/or facilities need to complete assigned or elective schools and drills
- Providing in a timely manner the annual schedule of required drill components and the correct Training Tracker pathway to enter each drill
The Training Captain
Who shall be responsible for:
- Providing training and education to ensure acceptable levels of knowledge, skills and working relationships within the training teams and battalions
- Ensuring that drills meet the objectives set forth by the Training Division
- Coordinating with Fire Communications to ensure adequate service area coverage during the scheduled drill
- Scheduling and completing the minimum annual drill requirements in a timely manner
- Notifying his/her Battalion Chief of scheduled schools and drills
- Ensuring that appropriate drills are credited to each participant following the correct Training Tracker pathway
- Responding to questions from company officers and in-charge personnel concerning schools and drills
- Conducting the training team activity in a safe manner
Company Captains
Who shall be responsible for:
- Researching and conducting drills as assigned by his/her Company Captain
- Referring questions concerning schools and drills to the Captain assigned to that training team or the associated Battalion Chief
Company officers and In-charge personnel
Who shall be responsible for working with Company Captains to develop a plan for maintaining adequate service area coverage during scheduled drills.
The In-charge Dispatcher
Who shall be responsible for:
- Ensuring the drill follows appropriate safety policies and procedures
- Terminating the drill if any safety policies and procedures are not followed
The Incident Safety Officer or designated safety observer
General Guidelines
- Captains Training Teams are required to conduct a minimum of:

Conducting Captain Training Team Schools and Drills
1. Prior to conducting schools and drills, Company Captains shall:
a. Contact the Training Captain via e-mail to ensure:
b. Remind the FCC (Fire Communications Center) and his/her Battalion Chief of the scheduled drill by:
c. Ensure all safety precautions have been taken
d. Conduct a thorough briefing for drill participants that includes: 1-3
