  • Burning when peeing
  • Fish-like odour especially after sex
  • Greyish-white, thin watery discharge

Metronidazole 2g single dose

* producing more discharge than normal
* thin, frothy, thick, or yellow-green coloured discharge
* pain or discomfort urinating or during sex

treatment:

  • Candidal vulvitis
  • imidazole creams: e.g miconazole, clotrimazole
  • Vaginal candidiasis:
    imidazole pessaries e.g clotrimazole
    oral treatment: e.g fluconazole, itraconazole
  • Vulvovaginal thrush IN PREGNANCY:
    topical imidazole (clotrimazole pessary) for 7 days
