- Malaise

CHANGED BONE STRUCTURES
- Big SQUARE Head
- UNSUTURED Fontanelles
- CRANIOTABES (Soft Skull)
- Kyphosis
- Oedema around Wrists / Joints / Ankles
- REDUCED Levels = Of Calcium / Phosphorus
- INCREASED Levels = Of Alkaline Phosphatase / Parathyroid Hormone

- Different Stages
1) ACUTE Stage
- Pale EPIPHYSIS
- Numerous Ossifications
- Flat METAPHYSIS
- THICKENED Periosteum
2) ACTIVE Stage I
- IRREGULAR / NARROWED EPIPHYSIS
- Wider METAPHYSIS
- Thickening of Periosteum DISAPPEARS
3) RECOVERY Stage
- NARROWING of Epiphysis LINE
- CLOSING of the BONE-BONE Canal of DIAPHYSIS

What is the TREATMENT for Rickets?
A
- Vitamin D = FOR 3,000 IU, DAILY
- Prevent Bone Dislocation
- Surgery = Correcting + De-rotating Osteotomies
