Harmful Dysfunction Theory

A

2 different parts of psychopathology

1- harmful to individual based on what society beliefs its harmful
2-dysfunction-think of it as a pen- purpose its to write and it can be use for many different things (hold your hair, etc) natural form is to write so if it does something else its a dysfunction*problem/criticism= we dont know what is a normal mechanisms

Indicates a dysfunction in mental functioning
