On-The-Job Training (OJT) Program
Components:
- Job Experience - during/after upgrade training
- Job Proficiency - hands on training
- Job Knowledge - study of CDCs/technical references
Career Field Education & Training Plan (CFETP)
Purpose:
- Plan, prioritize, manage, & execute training
- Identify/certify all past & current quals
Content:
- Life-cycle education/training reqs
- Training support resources
- Core/home station training
- Deployment/unit type code task reqs for AFSCs
Part 1:
- Overall management of AFSC
- Part of the work center Master Training Plan
Part 2:
- Specialty training standard
- Identifies duties, tasks, & tech references
AF Form 797
Title:
Job Qualification Standard (JQS)
Purpose:
- Define locally assigned duty position
- Define home station training
- Define deployment/unit type code reqs

Title:
Report of Task Evaluations
Purpose:
Used by evaluators to conduct & document completion of task evaluations
AF Form 1098

Special Task Certification & Recurring Training
Purpose:
Used to document selected tasks requiring recurring training or evaluation
Master Training Plan
Purpose:
- To ensure all work center job reqs are completed
- Uses a Master Task Listing
- All work centers have one
Content:
- Milestones for tasks & CDC completion
- Deployment/unit type code
- Prioritizes home station training
- Prioritizes upgrade/qualification tasks
Airman Retraining Program
Purpose:
1. Balance number of personnel in specific grades & year groups of an AFSC

Purpose:
1. Provide additional info on the Amn Retraining Program

1. Online platform used by Language Enabled Airman Program (LEAP) members to develop & professionalize their skills
Unit Training Managers (UTMs)
Position:
Commander’s key staff
Responsibilities:
- Overall management of training program
- Training consultants to all unit members
- Determine if quality training programs are in effect
- Conduct staff assistance visit of unit tng program
Training Timeline
Work Center Training Orientation:
60 days for active duty
120 days for AF Reserve component
Comprehensive Training Orientation:
60 days for active duty
90 days for AF Reserve component
Training Progress Review:
24th month of upgrade training
Air Force Trainer
Requirements:
- Complete AF training course
- Maintain task qualification
- Experience/ability to provide instruction
Task Certifier
Responsibilities:
- Third-party certification
- Evaluation of progress in the training program
Requirements:
- At least SSgt
- 5 skill level (or civilian equivalent)
- Capable of evaluating task
- Complete AF training course
5 Skill Level
