Hebrews 1:3
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by the power of His word. After He made purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
Hebrews 4:12–13
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.13Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. James 4:1-3
What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?2You want something but don’t get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God.3When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

1 Peter 1:3-5
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.13But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.14If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.15If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler.16However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.
1 Peter 5:4

2 Peter 1:4-9
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
