PFC changing drill

Answer 1

Take out new PFCs and remove packaging.
Take off one canister.
Put new canister on, close eyes and hold breath.
Fix new canister, breathe in slightly.
Purge x4
Repeat.

Question 2

Oral countermeasures drill.

Answer 2

Helmet off.
Decontaminate gloves, respirator and chin.
Decontaminate haversack.
Unzip slightly.
Leave Hood up.
Take out tablet and replace packet.
Hold breath, close eyes.
Pull bottom of mask up and insert tablet.
Replace mask.
Purge.
Swallow tablet.
Replace zip and helmet.

Question 3

Decontamination Drill

Answer 3

Decontaminate gloves.
Helmet off.
Decontaminate respirator.
Unzip and remove Hood
Decontaminate face in quarters.
Decontaminate inside of mask.
Decontaminate ears, neck and hair.
Decontaminate Harness.
Replace Hood.
Decontaminate Helmet and boots with bottle.
Change detector paper.

Question 4

Self Aid for Nerve agent poisoning.

Answer 4

DO NOT DECONTAMINATE.

Remove grey safety cap.
Black end against thigh.
Press for 10 seconds.
Record time.
Bend needle.
Replace in haversack.

Question 5

Emergency drinking drill

Answer 5

Decontaminate gloves.
Decontaminate water bottle pouch.
Decontaminate mask and chin.
Remove bottle from pouch.
Decontaminate bottle.
Helmet off.
Undo zip.
Hood down.
Decontaminate hands again.
Remove water bottle cap.
Hold breath, close eyes.
Lift mask and drink.
Replace mask.
Purge x2.
Replace cap, Decontaminate bottle and Replace.
Replace Hood, zip and helmet.

Question 6

Drinking Drill

Answer 6

Decontaminate gloves and drinking system.
Decontaminate water bottle pouch.
Remove bottle and Decontaminate.
Remove stopper and DSC, Decontaminate both.
Remove excess by tapping DSC against bottle cap.
Insert and open valve on mask.
Upturn bottle and blow down straw.
Drink.
Close valve on mask.
Disconnect DSC and return to housing.
Decontaminate bottle cap and stopper.
Replace stopper and then return bottle to pouch.
