Water - solvent
Eye Expert pure flow details
Functions
• All in one solution
• Natural ingredients to improve wettability
Ingredients:
EDTA (ethylene tetra acetic acid 0.01%) (preservative)
PolyHexaMethyleneBiguanide 0.00015% (disinfectant)
Hydroxyethylcellulose
Hyaluronic acid
Macromolecular
Natrium chloride
Dibasic sodium phosphate

Sodium hydroxide anydrus
Purified water
OTE sensation details
Functions
• pH neutral
• comfort by hyaluronate
• duo antibacterial
• removes lipids
• recommended for sensitive eyes
Ingredients:
Polyhexanide – preservative
Polyquaternium - reduces surface tension and denatures cel walls
hyaluronate - prevents adhesion of lipids and provides lubrication
Peroxide system details
Peroxide system – one step P+
Functions
• Preservative free
• Disinfects
• Contains a cleaning agent
• Not to be used for rinsing (rinse with saline before insertion)
Ingredients:
3% hydrogen peroxide
Sodium chloride
Sodium phosphates
Poloxamer
HEDP
Water
MPS vs Peroxide
- mps usually not preservative free Which can cause allergi reaction
- mps requires better compliance due to cleaning measures
- but peroxide allows automatic cleaning overnight so used if px compliance is very bad
- peroxide still requires compliance as px has to neutralise
- peeroxide cleans much better
How to resolve problems
- change lens
- high WC has dehydration tendency
- low modulus has better comfort and less mechanical complications. Higher odulus can dry out more quickly
- modality - dailies preferable as monthlies can wear out more easily
- change solution
- to peroxide if allergies
- change material
- SiHy can cause lipid deposits
When not to fit SiHy
- wettability, decreased so harder to stay moist
- comfort, SiHy may take some adaptation
- lipid deposits
- CLPC, hydrogel has thinner edge profile
- risk of keratitis
