Who shall review circumstances of suspect arrest who is now in hospital and decide if they need to be guarded?
Shift commander, or sergeant in the absence
What will be considered when deciding if a prisoner should be guarded at a hospital?
Current Manpower, degree of incapacitation, seriousness of crime, if prisoner could be targeted for retaliation
If a prisoner at a hospital is left unguarded how often will the shift commander receive updates on them?
Every 4 hours
When shall an officer guarding a hospitalized prisoner notify a roll call sergeant?
one hour prior to the end of the their shift
Are hospitalized prisoner’s allowed visitors?
Only with supervisor approval
When can HCSO NOT complete transfer of a prisoner?
for prisoners who are in OR, labor/delivery room, ER or clinic
What are the conditions to complete a 2B warrant on a hospitalized prisoner?
DA office approval, serious medical condition, non-violent, positive ID, not a flight risk
