5 Types of Firing
- Single Action
- Double Action
- Semi-Auto Only
- Automatic Only
- Selective Fire
Single Action
The weapon will only fire when it has been manually cocked.
The slide has to be pulled to the rear of an automatic pistol (M1911A1, BHP) or the hammer being pulled rearward on a revolver.
Double Action
The trigger bar will cock the weapon when the trigger is pulled and the sear will release the hammer when the trigger has reached its maximum rearward movement.
Semi-Auto Only
The weapon will fire only one round per pull of the trigger. After that the trigger and disconnector will prevent the weapon from firing.
Automatic Only
The weapon will fire continuously until the trigger is released.
Selective Fire
The weapon can fire semi-auto or fully automatic.
Burst-firing of a set number of rounds per squeeze of the trigger.
