Explain briefly
Wendt is not really anything like as much of a constructivist as he implies and certainly not enough to satisfy reflectivists
He defines interests and identities very narrowly
Wendt certainly accepts that the most important actors in world politics are states and that their dominance will continue
Much more restricted definition than the one reflectivists would want to propose
Wendt says he wants to bring together Neoliberals and reflectivists
He couldn’t bring together the two groups since they don’t share the same view of how to construct knowledge. Rationalists are positivists and reflectivists are post positivists. They cannot be combined because they have mutually exclusive assumptions
Wendt structures(institutions) are really rather specific kinds of structures
Not material enough being composed only of ideas
Wendt thinks that identities are created in the process of interaction, but _____
critics point out that we do not come to interactions without some pre-existing identity
