Brainstorming
a group of people assembled discuss a product before it is launched, or to provide feedback
Focus group
develop criteria, rank ideas based on how accurately they meet said criteria
Check list methods
Discussing all the problems in the business.
Problem inventory analysis
imagining and comparing multiple ideas plans (eg outlining plan A, plan B, Plan C)
Scenario thinking
keeping an idea journal in places where they get inspiration so that they can document their ideas before they’re forgotten (by bed, in the toilet etc.)
Note book method
Analyzing everything that is wrong with an idea.
Reverse brain storming
a group of experts coming to a consensus as to how to solve the issue
Delphi method
Just asking people questions about the business without specifying what you want to know or whether there is a problem
Gordon method
Word association (or photograpghic) without specifying what the problem is.
