Teratogenic - should give labetolol if planning/pregnant

Tamoxifen [4]
A
- Increases risk of endometrial cancer
- Can cause hot flushes
- Increases effectiveness of warfarin
- Increases risk of VTE

Sulphonylureas (e.g. gliclazide) [3]
A
- Can cause hypos
- Should be given in morning with meals
- Should not double up dose if missed

Methotrexate [4]
A
- Regular WCC monitoring needed
- Once weekly dosing
- Folate antagonists (e.g. trimethoprim) shouldnt be given with it
- Folate should be prescribed with it

Warafin [3]

- Carries significant risk of bleeding
- Initially weekly bloods > progress to montly
- Different doses have different colours

Alendronic Acid [4]
A
- Should be taken with big glass of water + sit upright
- Once weekly dosing
- Should be taken on different day to bisphosphonates
- Don’t eat for 2+ hours after taking

- Takes several weeks to work
- Need to still warn about suicidal ideation
- Can cause dry mouth
- Dont stop suddenly
- Risk of serotonin syndrome - nausea, vomiting, temp
