Explain the basic principles of the ASM (Air Seperation Module)

A

Air is stripped of Oxygen, the OEA (Oxygen Enriched Air) is sent overboard, and the NEA (Nitrogen Enriched Air) is sent to the centre tank

A

What happens if the oxygen sensor senses an oxygen rate higher than 12%,

A

the ICU (IGGS Controller Unit) de-energizes the IGGS Isolation Gate Valve solenoid and the DFSOV (dual Flow Shut Off Valve.

(Basically valves either side of the ASM close, isolating the system.)
