S53A of sexual offences act
A commits an offence if
A makes or promises payment for the sexual services of a prostitute
A third person C has engaged in exploitative conduct of a kind likely to induce or encourage the prostitute to provide the sexual services for which A has made or promised payment
And
C engaged in that conduct for or in expectation of gain for themselves or a further tho it’s party
What is classed as exploitive conduct under S53A
Force, threats or any other form of coercion

Under S53A does the defendant need to know that the prostitute has been coerced
