4.6 Isosceles and Right Triangles Flashcards
Base Angles of an Isosceles Triangle
In an isosceles triangle, the 2 angles that have the base as a part of 1 side are the base angles
Base Angles Theorem
If 2 sides of a triangle are congruent, then the angles opposite them are congruent
Base Angles Theorem Corollary
If a triangle is equilateral, then it is also equiangular
Base Angles Converse Theorem
If two angles in a triangle are congruent then the sides opposite them are congruent
Base Angles Converse Theorem Corollary
If a triangle is equiangular, then it is also equilateral
Hypotenuse-Leg Congruence Theorem
If the hypotenuse and a leg of a right triangle are congruent to the hypotenuse and leg of a second right triangle, then the 2 triangles are congruent
