What is the difference between an asylum seeker and a refugee?
A
An asylum seeker becomes a refugee once they have been granted asylum. Until then, they are still seeking asylum.

What is the difference between asylum seekers and illegal migrants?
A
Asylum seekers are never illegal as everyone has the right to seek asylum in another country and they have entered through a legal process.

- Left his/her own country by lawful or unlawful means to find employment in another country

- Voluntary Migrants - Permanent Move for work or quality of life reasons or a temporary move for work reasons
- Displaced Persons - Refugees/Asylum Seekers forced to move war, famine or fear of persecution. Possibility of becoming an illegal migrant
- Ilegal Immigrants - Voluntary invidiual move for work or organized as part of a criminal activity
