What is an additive inverse
A
If r is an arbitary real number, then its additive inverse is the solution x to the equa-tion r +x =0.
So the additive inverse of 3 is -3, and the additive inverse of -7
is7.
Similarly, if M is an arbitary m*n matrix, then M has an additive inverse -M,
whose elements are just the additive inverses of the elements of M
