Aim to improve the efficiency of markets by making them fully free markets by removing any barriers that exist
What are interventionist S-side policies?
Aim to make free markets more efficient by correcting the market failures they believe exist
What are some S-Side policies?
1) Increasing Incentives
2) Promoting competition
3) Reforming the labour market
4) Improving the skills of the labour force
5) Improving infrastructure
6) Encouraging the growth of SMEs
How do you increase incentives?
- Reduce income tax
- Reduce welfare benefits
- Remove the poverty trap
- Remove the unemployment trap
- Subsidising workers
- Reduce corporation tax to increase investment

How do you promote competition?
- Privatisation
- Deregulation
- Strong competition policy
