A

How are headlands formed ?

A

Headlands are formed by the sea attacking hard cock and soft rock. Soft rock will erode more quickly because hard rock is more resistant. This will cause sections of hard-rock sticking out at the sea causing a ‘headland” .

How are bays formed ?

A

The areas where the soft rock has eroded is called the “bay”. The bays will have beaches inside it.

How are beaches formed ?

A

Rivers of sand and pebbles moving slowly along the coast. Sediments is transported by Longshore drift.
