A

The Lesser Omentum

17
Q

Which Major Vein is closely related to the Liver?

A

The Inferior Vena Cava

18
Q

Where is the Caudate Lobe of the Liver situated?

A

At the Posterosuperior Surface of the Liver, adjacent to the Inferior Vena Cava

19
Q

Where is the Quadrate Lobe of the Liver situated?

A

At the Posteroinferior Surface of the Liver, Inferior to the Porta Hepatis

20
Q

What lies immediately posterior to the Quadrate lobe of the Liver?

A

The Gall Bladder

21
Q

What is the Colic Area of the Liver?

A

The Posterolateral Surface of the Liver where there is an indentation from the Hepatic Flexure of the Colon

22
Q

What is the Gastric Area of the Liver?

A

The Posteromedial Surface of the Liver there there is an indentation from the Stomach

23
Q

Do the Hepatic Veins pass through the Porta Hepatis?

24
Q

How are the Liver arranged Histologically?

A

There are Hexagon of Branches of the Porta Hepatis (containing a Hepatic Duct, Hepatic Artery and Hepatic Potal Vein) surrounding a Central Vein

25
How does the Blood Flow through the Hepatocytes?
The Blood flows from the Hepatic Portal Vein, and Hepatic Artery, through the Hepatocytes where it is processed. This will then be deposited in the Central Vein
26
How does the Bile flow?
The Bile flows from Hepatocytes towards the Hepatic Duct (away from the Central Vein)
27
What do the Central Veins fuse to form?
The Hepatic Veins
28
Where do the Hepatic Veins drain into?
The Inferior Vena Cave
