-Poverty is where you do not have enough resources (money or possessions) to meet your basic needs.( Needs include food, safe water, and shelter)
-Extreme Poverty is where you have resources worth less than $1.90 a day to live on. Barely enough to survive on.
Explain what is meant by Poverty Line
-A sum of money used to define the level of poverty in a country.

Describe the environment in a poor rural village.
-No electricity

What is a latrine?
-A concrete platform over a hole in the ground with no water.
What are the three aspects of poverty?
-Poverty and Inequality

Why are there millions of deaths in poverty areas?
- Since people in poverty use unsafe water and have poor sanitation. This spreads disease, and poor people cannot afford medical care.
What is sanitation?
-conditions relating to public health, especially the provision of clean drinking water and adequate sewage disposal.
What can increase poverty and how?
-Covid 19: It made many people I’ll and in need of medical care, which poor people can’t afford. It also caused lockdowns which led to people losing their jobs.
-Climate change: It can cause huge storms, hurricanes, wildfires, which may destroy people’s homes and lead to poverty. It can also increase the price of food, also leading to poverty.
