what is a species?
a group of organisms with similar morphology, physiology and behaviour, which can interbreed to produce fertile offspring
what is a habitat?
a place where a species lives
what is a population?
a group of interbreeding individuals of the same species found in an area
what is a community?
all of the organisms that live in a certain area (all species combined)
what is a niche?
the way an organism exploits its environment
what is an adaptation?
something that helps an organism to better suit its environment

what is a physiological adaptation?
features of the internal working of an organism that help them to survive or reproduce
what is a anatomical adaptation?
the structures that we can observe when we dissect an organism that help it to survive or reproduce
what is a behavioural adaption?
actions by an organism that help it to survive or reproduce
